Behind This Mother’s Day Season: How We Lived It

Mother’s Day season is always one of the most meaningful and intense moments of the year for us. Behind every box shipped to markets around the world, there are weeks of preparation, teamwork, coordination, and commitment from every area of the farm. This season brought new challenges, changing trends, and important moments that reminded us once again how dynamic the floral industry can be.

Preparation for Mother’s Day started weeks before the first shipments left the farm. From production planning to logistics coordination, every process had to move carefully to adapt to market demand. This year, one of the biggest differences we noticed was the importance of pre-sales. Since production across the industry remained adjusted to demand and there were not many flower surpluses available, many clients preferred securing their programs in advance rather than waiting for the open market.

As the season progressed, market trends also surprised us. At the beginning, clients mainly requested hot pinks, lavenders, and brighter spring tones. However, as the main shipping dates approached, demand shifted strongly toward red varieties, which became one of the strongest trends we experienced this year.

Inside the farm, the pace during those weeks became faster every day. Harvesting, classification, hydration, quality control, and packing had to work in perfect coordination to maintain the rhythm of the season.

One of the biggest challenges this season was logistics timing. Shipping windows are becoming shorter and faster, forcing farms and clients to react quickly. One of the strongest shipping peaks happened during the final days of April, when operations moved almost nonstop to complete programs and shipments on time.

Even though this Mother’s Day became more about volume than high market prices, one of the biggest achievements was seeing flowers move successfully throughout the season while maintaining quality standards and minimizing waste.

Mother’s Day 2026 reminded us that market preferences, logistics, and customer needs continue evolving every year. However, what remains constant is the passion, teamwork, and commitment behind every process at Agrivaldani.
